Barriers to the widespread adoption of diagnostic artificial intelligence for preventing antimicrobial resistance

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a major public health challenge due to overuse of antimicrobial agents. A study found that ethical dilemmas may hinder the adoption of diagnostic AI. A survey across eight countries showed societal preference for both AI types, with gender and age differences and opposition to AI standardization. This highlights the need for public sentiment in addressing global health issues.
